James Clear has mentioned an insightful quote in his best selling book, “Atomic Habit”,

Success is the product of daily habits — not once-in-a-lifetime transformations.

Habits Are Who You Are, A habit is something that you do daily without really thinking about it. Habit is something that you do repeatedly for a long time and that task/work becomes a habit.

The definition of a habit is a routine of behaviour that is repeated regularly and tends to occur subconsciously.

Your habits become a considerable part of your routine that ultimately becomes who you are. The first step to reaching any Goal is first building a specific daily habit.

Since your habits become YOU, the habits, whether good or bad, that you choose to follow eventually will set the way for your entire life.

Success is neither magical nor mysterious. Success is the natural consequence of consistently applying the basic fundamentals.

There are 6 Habits that can make a drastic change in your life, and help you to grow faster.

Reading Habit

If you are an employee, Trainer, Coach, Entrepreneur or any kind of working person, without reading books you can’t achieve your goal faster.

Don’t believe me?

Ok, find the habit of the top leaders, investor, Mentor or who has done something extraordinary in their life you will be amazed they all have one common habit — Reading books.

Books are the easiest and cheapest way to get valuable information that is difficult for you to get in an organised and concise way in another way of learning.(except Mentor)

Write Your Goals and Ideas

Writing down your goals means you can visually see them because the goals feel tangible.

When goals are written down you are more likely to intellectually engage and emotionally connect with the result of the goal you want to achieve.

If you start writing down your goals, your life will change. When you commit to achieving those written down goals daily, your life will transform.

You set your goals on a number of levels:

  • First, you create the “big picture” that you want to achieve in the next 5 years, a long term Goal.
  • Break long term Goals into the smaller and Short Term Goals that you must hit to achieve Long Term Goals.
  • Finally, once you have your plan, you start working on it to achieve these goals.

This is why we start the process of setting goals by looking at your Long Term Goals. Always maintain a notebook/diary to write your daily goals and ideas. (Don’t trust your memory to save ideas, it will vanish after a few days or week)

Be Disciplined

Jim Rohn beautifully said that ”Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines, practised every day”.

If you are disciplined in your life and follow your routine and practice consistently in a disciplined manner, you can achieve whatever you want.

Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment

Nothing is a more powerful habit than Discipline because it helps to closer to a goal each day.

Value Your Time

Steve Jobs said in his interview, “The most precious resource we all have is time.”

Time is what we want most, but what we use worst. Isn’t it?

“Time is free, but it’s priceless. You can’t own it, but you can use it. You can’t keep it, but you can spend it. Once you’ve lost it, you can never get it back.” — Harvey MacKay

This quote explained everything. Again read it to understand the value of time.

Ignore to scrolling social media reels, videos etc and do purposefully work which helps you to get closer to your goal.

Review Your Productivity & Plan every week

Reviewing your productivity and progress is very important to understand where you are and what is your progress.

Also, it helps to know whether your idea/plan is working or not. When you make a plan always follow it for 60 days minimum before thinking to change the plan.
